MBTA train 415 has arrived at the end of the Fitchburg line at Wachusett station as a very late 22K slowly ambles downgrade toward Ayer. MBTA 1057, recently rebuilt as a F40PH-3C, will shortly depart shoving MBTA train 420 east to North Station Boston. Some 18 months after the start of the pandemic, MBTA commuter rail patronage has recovered to only ~20% of pre-pandemic ridership.
