Rough Track Award - Watertown Spur

Track work has been commencing on the Watertown branch. However, this "swamp" run is a regular for the locals. There is not much to exagerate here, the tadpoles are enjoying the pond under the bridge. The clearance issue may be contributing to the dip and water drainage problem. Heavy loads of flour and wheat tax the track in the area on the spur to Newlywed foods in Watertown, all that remains of the Watertown branch to the old Aresenal. This photo was snapped near, coincidentally, Cambridge's Water works and Fresh Pond.
