B&M Bridge over the Connecticut RiverThis was the B&M's main line until ice in 1972 wrecked the bridge in Northfield, MA. The B&M and CV ran south on the CV (west bank) tracks to Northfield and north on the B&M tracks (east bank)from Northfield to Brattleboro until then. This line was kept open to service the Ashuelot Branch to Keene, but has been totally abandoned since 1983.
