The northbound units seen passing through Manchester Vt. (204-308-203) represent the second of two trains gracing the B&R track on Thursday September 18. A very early morning "hotshot" took interchange cars northbound from Hoosick Junction to make connections in Rutland. Once that train cleared, the southbound freight made its normal (but later than usual) round trip to North Bennington. The light engine move makes its way back north in the chilly afternoon with a hard freeze expected overnight that will "tweak" the color throughout Vermont.
