Ghosts of the Past

The former B&M train station at Holyoke, Mass. stands silent and boarded up. In its heyday it was a beehive of activity with travelers coming and going and frequent trains chuggin' past. The station was built in 1884-85 and was designed by H.H. Richardson. Passenger service ended here in 1967. In the background a set of Pan Am Railways light engines are seen heading south down the Conn. River Line. The former Guilford Rail System paint engine is in itself a ghost of the past.
