Visitor Comments about this Photo:THE SIGNAL IS LISTED IN THE TIMETABLE AS DECORATION ONLY. TO THE LEFT OF SIGNAL THE ORIGINAL TRACKS WENT TO WOODSVILLE AND EVENTUALLY MONTREAL.. #1012 IS ON THE FIRST 100 FEET OF THE LINCOLN BRANCH. MILEPOSTS ARE MEASURED FROM PLYMOUTH ALL THE WAY TO MP 21 LOCATED BEHIND THE MCDONALDS ON ROUTE 104 IN LINCOLN, NH. PEDESTRIAN CROSSING UNDER THE TRAILING WHEELS IS WHERE THE OLD ROUTE THREE CROSSED AT GRADE. Posted by George Kenson on 2018-10-24 02:54:15 George, I learned the C and P Mile Posts from some of the great people I know that work at the Railroad! When I was following this train, and I photographed it on two different runs, I was trying to figure out where the original rails took the left turn to Woodsville and I did not notice any evidence. I thought that signal was so unique that it was worth getting into a picture. I very much appreciate your information and feedback !
