EMD's and steam preserved at DRM

Preserved, stored and visiting:

Preserved: Privately owned NYC 4096 is an ex-UP EMD E9A 912. Some believe this engine was built in the late 1940's from E7 765 of GM "Train of Tomorrow" fame. Next to the E9 is former Boston & Maine 1455, a 1907 Alco/Manchester Works 2-6-0 Mogul.

Stored: Behind the 1455 is NYC 2013, an ex-NH FL-9, repainted to NYC colors by Metro North to celebrate 150 years of service on the Hudson line.

Visiting: visible between the 1455 and 2013 is NYC 3, built by Pullman in 1928 for New York Central director Harold S. Vanderbilt. Later Penn Central 4 and Conrail 1. This car is available for charter. Surf over to http://www.aaprco.com/ for more information.

Got all that? There will be a quiz later! ;-)
