Hi-Rail Vehicle at Former Manchester Station

On a warm late summer afternoon, a Spur Trak Railroad Contractors hi-rail vehicle moves down the CSOR main line towards East Hartford.

The old boarding platform for the station can be seen in the background. The cement is badly smoothed and worn, cracked and broken in some spots. The yellow safety line is very faded. It's been a good 50 years since passengers waited here to board a passenger train on the NH Railroad.
