Action at Palmer

Central Vermont piggyback train 245 starts across the diamond, headed north to St. Albans. CR BOEL waits by the station, pumping air after a couple of unforgettable hours in town. While performing some work, he yanked a drawbar out of an autorack, and used a couple of hours trying to get the car set out.

Photographed by BandAfan, December 10, 1981.
Added to the photo archive by Carl Weber Jr., April 23, 2005.
Railroad: Boston & Albany.
