The consist of the Boston to Montreal "Alouette", with CPR Parlor-Observation "Mt.Paliser" bringing up the rear,sits at Yard-4 East Cambridge,Mass.

The "Alouette" was the day train from Boston to Montreal via the old Concord & Montreal route and was still running in the early 1950's. It went up through Plymouth NH around noon and down at 4pm. It was powered by a CPR E-8.

I managed to tour it once in Plymouth, NH. It had a mini-kitchen in it and wicker armchairs.
