Pan Am Railways MOAY (Mohawk Yard, NY to Ayer, MA) departs East Deerfield Yard at 2:43 pm on 04/19/2008 with GP40 number 316 and Norfolk Southern GP38-2 number 5329. A daylight appearance of this train is extraordinarily rare - normal schedules call for this train to pass through East Deerfield in the middle of the night or the wee hours of the morning. There has been a noticeable increase of NS power on Pan Am, fueling much speculation and rumor.
