The Massachusetts Coastal Railroad's Energy Train On Monday April 1st, 2013Photographed here is the MC 2006 clearing Canal Junction within Bourne, Massachusetts on the Cape Main Line. Once it has done so, it will reverse back onto the Falmouth/Otis Line where it would retrieve an additional five loads that were brought up earlier in the day by the MC 2008. These same exact loads traveled from the Upper Cape Regional Transfer Station, which is located within North Falmouth, Massachusetts. There were approximately nine refuse loads that originated out of the Barnstable - Yarmouth Regional Transfer Station located within South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, all of which were destined for the SEMASS Waste - Energy incinerator at Rochester, Massachusetts as well. Lastly, the locomotive for today's run was an Electro - Motive Division (i. e., EMD) GP7U numbered 2006, with a build date of May of 1951. Moreover, it was originally numbered 1336 for the now defunct Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad (i.e., ATSF), before it was eventually acquired by the Massachusetts Coastal Railroad sometime within February of 2008.
