Concord, NH

Looking north from Bridge St (Loudon RD). Left to right: box car on siding for Rumford Press is for waste paper loading, box car visible on Stonehill Branch (Claremont Branch) is switcher with loads of paper for Rumford Press, Northern Main Line, siding for Purina Feeds, siding for Eastern States Feeds and Lockwood Young Cement, White Mountain Main (Lincoln Branch), double ended siding with empty BM hoppers, long siding with ramp at north end used by National Guard and circus trains, long siding leading to Tenny Coal. In fore ground is Storres St on left and new siding built to connect Capital Plumbing and Concord Steam Plant siding.
<BR> If I had taken this photo thirteen years earlier it would show the Claremont Branch, Northern and White Mountain mains leading to the Concord passenger train shed (where Storres St is now), diamond for the freight lead crossing the White Mountain, ball signal governing all main line and diverging moves to and from Concord yard.
