Milford Bennington on the Move!

Milford Bennington Railroad was loaded up heading east to the Granite State Concrete plant in Milford from the quarry in Wilton yesterday morning. Here, the crew just passed by the Old Wilton Road crossing in Milford with the tracks paralleling Route 101A. The 901 is an ex CN SW900 built in 1958. It was good to have a few minutes to finally catch this conveyor belt short line in action!

Pretty unusual to see a locomotive outfitted with friction bearing trucks working revenue freight rather than excursion RR passenger trains these days.
