BM EHB 50 a 50 ton capacity outside braced 40' XM box car used to be one of about 2000 BM 70 and 71 thousand series cars that were the main stay for box car traffic early in the twentieth century. This car and a few others were assigned to "engine house service" carrying barrels of lub oil, sand bags and other supplies from the stores dept. to outlying engine service facilities.

Wellsville, Addison, & Galeton ("The Sole Leather Line") bought many (70-ish?) of these B&M box cars for interchange service in the late '50s. Saw them passing through the southern tier of NY in EL freights back in the '60s.
