Amtrak Train 167 Passing Standby Power at Kingston Station

AMTK 631 (ACS-64) leads Saturday-only train 167 to its stop at Kingston Station on track 1. Across the platform, tied down on track 3, sits the standby power available earlier in the day to rescue a train should it break down on the remaining single track during trackwork between Liberty interlocking just west of Kingston Station and High Street interlocking just east of Westerly. The standby power train consisted of AMTK 122 (P42DC) on the west (near) end and AMTK 93 (P42DC) sandwiching Amfleet corridor coach AMTK 82605.
