The Winnipesaukee Scenic's World HQ in Meredith !The further south this train travels, the better the views get along the western shores of Lake Winnipesaukee and Paugus Bay. Take a ride! Round trip, two hour train rides depart out of Meredith Station, and one or two hour ride options are available from Weirs Beach, Trains travel south to the Lakeport siding, not far from the Lakeport Draw Bridge.
The consist contains two former Reading and MBTA non-powered Budd RDC-1's, one remains as a coach, while one is a table car. Two DLW / EL Pullman coaches, converted into table cars, and one ex-CN caboose, available for private rentals and used as a shoving platform. Main road power comes from this sharp 1970 ex-BN/BNSF SW1000 switcher that the railroad has used since September of 2014.
The two Pullman Cars to the right on the 'team track' make up the First Class and Presidential Class seating options on the Winnipesaukee Scenic's "Fall Foliage Specials" from mid September to mid-October.
Come take a ride !
