From 8/21/23, here was the third CSX Geometry Train to inspect the renamed Nashua Subdivision from North Chelmsford to Bow. Their endpoint would be about 80 car lengths north of the Ferry Road Crossing before returning south. This was snapped by the River Road Bridge in Bow.

It's that second engine that's got my interest. CSX 9969 looks like it has the nose of an F45, the radiator section of an SD45, and was originally built as a GP40 for New York Central. This was rebuilt by Maryland Commuter Rail into a GP40WH-2. CSX 9969 is a direct sister to MEC GP40's 305 and 306. MEC 305 was NYC 3050, CSX 9969 was NYC 3051 and MEC 306 was NYC 3052. 305 still runs, 306 is stored OOS in Waterville. Serial numbers are in sequence too, built from the same order.

Many came out to see the Geo Train Extra move on these NH rails, especially with a correct PTC equipped leader in MEC 507, the Guilford "Heritage" unit, that was repainted back to Guilford colors in late July 2020.

The actual trailing Geo Car was TGC03, and the coach as the "Hocking Valley".
