NEW HAVEN, CT
North end (pull end, my term) of Eastbound Hump Class Yard. The New Haven had a unique design for class yard ladders. Considerations would be ground crew visibility for hand signals. making couplings on curves, real estate constraints, etc. No doubt there was a reason for what was done here.
