Empty Combustible Sedimentary Rocks TrainFrom April 5, 2020, here was the empty version of the 10th CSX originated coal train that ran to Bow from late November 2019 to June 2020. They were approaching the Chauncey Ave Crossing in Manchester's North End.
MEC 7542 was fairly fresh off it's first Pan Am blue paint job from Feb 2020. 7542 was repainted again in Nov 2021. Today 7542 is stored in Waterville. MEC 7898 (C40-8W) is in the middle, today it is retired in East Deerfield and is slowly getting picked for parts.. MEC 7535 is the trailing C40, now BERX 7535 and in-service for the Berkshire Eastern operation.
Almost all of the Pan Am purchased former CSX C40-8's, C40-8W's have seen coal train service to Bow.. The last coal trains to Bow - March 2023, although the coal arrived in two smaller blocks tacked on the Nashua local, and one 40+ car unit train.
IMHO Coal Trains to Bow are very much in the rear view mirror..
