P&L 105 by Milepost C36 in MeredithFall, so far, has been a ball in Central New Hampshire with spectacular weather, and great foliage.
Here was the 1:30 local heading south to Paugus (Lakeport) and back with a full complement of passengers, most are from chartered bus groups enjoying both the great scenery while feasting on a turkey dinner from the legendary Hart's Turkey Farm restaurant in Meredith.
P&L 105 arrived in September 2020, purchased from the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad. The SW1000 was built new for the NOPB in August 1971, and has been the main power in Meredith for the first time this season.
The former B&M milepost was repainted several years ago. C36 represents 36 miles from the White Mountain Junction switch Concord. The 73 mile long White Mountain Branch is owned by the State of New Hampshire
