P&L 105 @ the Laconia Passenger Station

From Friday 10/25, the historic 1892 built, Bradford Gilbert designed Laconia Passenger Station always looks great with a passenger train by it. In 2024, this occurrence happened much more than in previous years with train rides available during Laconia Bike Week, Sundays in July and August, and here during the New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival in Downtown Laconia this past weekend.

The Friday night excursion offered a a repeat of the 2023 version with a dinner train catered by Hart's Turkey Farm. This year's dinner train excursion ran north to beyond Weirs Beach and back, instead of south to Lochmere.

The crossing signal shadow is for Pleasant Street. The former historic Church is used by Recycled Percussion as their Cake Theatre. Besides the railroad, several local businesses occupy the former Passenger Station including Service Credit Union, and Prescott's Florist.
