B&M 4268 by the Albany Ave Crossing in Bartlett

This was taken on the east side of the Bartlett Freight House, here was the 470 Club Special heading west to Fabyan Station in Bretton Woods.

A huge token of appreciation goes out to the 470 Club and Conway Scenic RR for making this excursion happen. There were probably as many Railfans alongside the tracks taking pictures, yesterday, as there were riders on the train.

Not enough can be said about the huge undertaking of the 470 Club in bringing B&M 4268 back to life, after years of being an empty shell on display in North Conway.. Same goes for B&M 1741, which too was brought back from the dead. 1741 was one of three original B&M GP9s to survive on Pan Am. 1741 as Springfield Terminal 72 was taken out of service for good on Pan Am in June 2017. Pan Am eventually sold the three former B&M GP9's to the Heber Valley RR in Utah, though 1741 never went west, it was stored in Waterville. Through it all 1741 wound up in the capable hands of the 470 Club who brought the 1741 back to life, and also restored 1741 to it's original 1957 "Bluebird" appearance.

B&M 1741e was sandwiched in between F7A's B&M 4268w & B&M 4266e, pulling 6 coaches & 2 dome cars. The ride went from North Conway, to Conway, then all the way to Fabyan's and back to North Conway..

What a great day to see these historical B&M engines on the move !
