L066 MEC 507 @ Bow Blue Seal, Bow NH

From Veteran's Day, here was the L066 Crew doing some work at Bow Blue Seal. They grabbed an unseen empty hopper on the south side of the bay that's on the left side of the picture, and returned the loaded hopper that's tied onto the 507 back to the same spot.

Improved track conditions leading into Bow Blue Seal have resulted in an uptick in traffic in 2024. There seems to be always a hopper or two on those tracks.

MEC 507, the "Guilford Heritage Engine" was repainted back into the charcoal, orange stripe, and white lettering in July 2020, after about 5 years in Pan Am Blue. The 507 is the only opportunity, these days, of seeing an engine in Guilford colors west of Rockingham Junction as it has the required technical hardware/ software to run over MBTA tracks. Only a handful of the surviving 300's/500's with this paint remain in service on CSX..

See them while you can, though with 507 getting a rebuild a decade ago, this one should be around for a good while.
