Hoosac Tunnel Canal

This old Canal was used to supply water to the compressor house at the east portal of the Hoosac tunnel during construction. The water flowed from a dam upstream through this canal to the compressor house which powered steam drills and air drills for the construction of the Hoosac tunnel
