Photo of CSRX 255 in Bartlett
CSRX 255 in Bartlett

Here was the Conway Scenic's first of two Mountaineer trains of the day heading east to North Conway from Crawford Station. This was by the historic Bartlett Roundhouse. Looks like quite a bit of track work is being done on the siding. To the east, by Albany Avenue, the wye has been completely cleared out.

CSRX 255 looks great in its new, correct paint. The GP38 was built new for the Maine Central in 1966. CSRX acquired the GP38 in mid-2021 from Vermont Railway, it served for close to 30 years as their VTR red painted Clarendon & Pittsford 203, and named for Harold Filskov, who helped with the start up of Vermont Railway.

The 255 seems right at home on the former MEC Mountain Division Rails. Though not pulling freight, it had five coaches in tow.
