NPE2 slows for its stop at Riverside just north of Deep River Landing, before shoving back into "North Pole station" to await the arrival of NPE-1 from the north.

The Connecticut River was just low enough allowing me to walk out on the rocks to get this shot. Gillette Castle is visible upstream on the opposite bank.
