Photo of EDPW with BERX 7876e & 7489w in Gardner
EDPW with BERX 7876e & 7489w in Gardner

From 11/25, here was Berkshire & Eastern's EDPW (East Deerfield - Providence & Worcester) interchange train working in Gardner. The EDPW Crew would eventually set off their cars, and runaround.

Berkshire Eastern is the designated neutral operator of Pan Am Southern, as both CSX and NS each own 50% of this railroad.

BERX 7876 (C40-8W) is the former CSX 7743, this was never was Pan Am owned, and looks great with the tribute to Veterans and Service Members

BERX 7489 (C40-8) is the former Conrail 6025, CSX & MEC 7489 and still shows the Conrail red marker lights. While all of the former Pan Am owned C40-8's that remained with CSX are long stored away in Waterville, it seems most, if not all of C40-8's that went over to the BERX side are in-service.

Time & timing were excellent on that day !
