L066 MEC 507 by Hall Street Crossing in Bow

From 4/16/2026, here was the L066 Crew heading south with empty tank cars, one from NEGS, one from Allstates. This sight, especially to the left toward the old 40 foot box car has always been choked with weeds & brush. It's the first time to have an open view of the former PITCO siding and the box car,

If you have not heard of PITCO, most likely your favorite fried foods have been cooked in PITCO commercial frying equipment manufactured and shipped worldwide in the building to the left and other buildings very close by.

On the right is Kent Feeds / Bow Blue Seal, they are an active client for CSX and regularly receive carloads of grain, soybeans, and feed.

MEC 507 was returned to "Guilford Rail System" paint in July 2020. The 507 is the only operating former Pan Am loco that wears this paint. We will continue to see the 507 on the Nashua Subdivision / Hillsboro Branch, as it's equipped with the proper hardware/software to run on MBTA tracks to Lawrence where cars are mainly picked up & dropped off by the South Portland to Lawrence shuttle (L080).
