In Concord, the Northern was once a busy mainline from Concord to White River Junction. What remains active is a 2500 foot remnant to the Horseshoe Pond Lane gated crossing, though these days the tracks are seldom used as the days of lengthy runarounds are done for now.

On Monday 7/20, New England Southern Crews took south 20 VTR owned hoppers that were stored mainly around Northfield since November 2021 and were put on the Northern. Here was CSX's L066 Crew tying onto the hoppers on 7/23.

The building to the left belonged to the former Rumford Press. The State owned White Mountain Branch tracks that NEGS operates on, are on the right that lead to Tilton, and points further north.

Easily the first time genuine CSX power has gone this far north in Concord past the runaround track.

A total of 22 empties with the 20 empty hoppers, a tank car, and a pole car, looked good going south from Concord.
