Anyone know when & where this was taken? Looks like a scene from Rt1 in the area of Thomaston to me. 1940s ? An Ebay treasure...

A viewer of these pages identifies this location as being at Damariscotta Mills looking east with Great Salt Bay in the background. Placing the vantage point on Rt215 about 1.5 miles from Rt1. He sez it's a great place to watch trains from.
