"Semaphore on the PW railraod" Yes (mp-4) You can still see this semaphore guardind the Long-abandoned swing bridge....

this is i think the last New Haven Semaphore in RI.......

"A over view" Old Colony & Newport Railroad was built in 1862-1864.this line was 19 miles long. The part of the line from Portsmouth to the state line was bough by the Providence & Worcester railroad in 1982, but Conrail had trackage right and run the trains (I do not now if PW unit have come down on the line?)but a barge hit the swing bribge in Tiverton and put the railroad out of Service.
