Providence's east side tunnel - west portal

Providence's east side tunnel - west portal (South Main St & Elizabeth St). This tunnel goes through college hill, under Brown University. This abandoned railway crossed the Seekonk River to East Providence, Warren & Bristol (now the East Bay Bike path), with a switch in Warren leading to Fall River, MA (abandoned). In the book "New Haven Railroad" (Peter E. Lynch) there is a good picture of this tunnel and rails (page 32) back in the day. It's interesting to see "then and now".
