Photo of Watertown Branch of Boston & Maine
Watertown Branch of Boston & Maine

Part of abandoned midsection of old Watertown Branch of Boston & Maine Railroad. This spot is right behind the Watertown Mall. I wish I knew what this thing was. It is directly in line with what looks like the remnants of somekind of siding. The concrete looks very formidible. Whoever built or renovated the mall may have decided that this object was just too much trouble to demolish, and so just landscaped around it. (Update 3/17/2009: I believe that this monument is now gone. They should have left it.)
