Looks Good With the High Hood.

The high short hood on MEC 378 along with the clean blue paint does exude an appearance of class and character for this long lived 3000 horsepower worker.

At the time, only a few railroads were ordering their brand new GP40's with high short hoods, as Norfolk and Western Railway was one of them. The MEC 378 was originally NW 1332, high hood and all !
