This early undated postcard photo of Manchester Yard is looking north. The passenger train is eastbound on the M&L. The track parallel is the Portsmouth Branch. The engine house is lower left, New Hampshire Main Line and station are center left, public delivery tracks are in center, and freight house is on right. Elm Street is to the right of the freight house. One of the two interlocking towers is shown at the south end of the station.The shanty at the diamond crossings of the Branches and the upper yard leads is for the ball signal. The yard office is the two story building behind the train. The postmark is Oct 1924.
