Busy time at south end of Station. E-8 and GP-9 have come off train from South Station and bound for Penn Station has GG-! with two storage mail cars to go on. Two E-8's have come off local out of South Station with an EP-5 to go on to take train to Grand Central..

Great photo - that's a fascinating line up of power with heavy emphasis on ex-PRR locomotives. It's interesting that there are no FL-9s here but I guess they were assigned to PC's Hudson & Harlem division trains to eliminate engine changes at Harmon or N White Plains. Apparently the EP-5s were not used on PC passenger trains to Penn Station and south.
