Please allow me to introduce the late Henry Probst

Pictured here in a self portrait at Rutland, VT in August 1976 with Steamtown 1293 powering the Vermont Bicentennial train when Henry was 35. Henry passed away in February 2020 at 79 after a period of declining health. Following his Navy and Merchant Marine service, Henry settled near Schenectady, NY and was employed as a Contributing Engineer at General Electric, a position with extensive travel.
An avid model railroader and railfan, Henry never missed an opportunity to film an Alco, GE product or anything unusual.
I am privileged to have become the recipient of Henry's 35mm slide collection. Encompassing over 12,000 images taken between 1974 and the mid 1990's. I would like to share some of them with all of you.

Photographed by Henry Probst-Mike LaCasse collection, August, 1976.
Added to the photo archive by Mike LaCasse, June 16, 2021.
