Outstanding Bruce! Was this some kind of "Farewell To Steamtown" or other special event as Steamtown departed Bellows Falls for Scranton in 1983.

Where exactly is "Riverside"? The only reference I can find to it as a railroad location was abandoned in 1930s. (NE of Burlington).
Thx.

Good question because I've tried to find it on the map as well. The Steamtown Museum in Vermont was a couple of miles north (on Route 5, I think that was the route number) north of Bellowsfalls, just past the causeway and the Asian Restaurant. Go right thru Bellowsfalls and follow the Green Mountain tracks, not the Conn River Line. Steamtown always referred to its location as Riverside. After the causeway one would take a right into the museum. Hope that helps, of course now its all "Gone with the Wind". To answer Al this was the '82 Railfan event.

I see a "Riverside Reload Center" maybe 2 miles north of BF... Multiple tracks... That's probably it.
