A "NEGS-ceptional" Sign of Springtime in New Hampshire! This is the undisputed sign of a Railfan's Spring in New Hampshire. New England Southern made their first round trip run from Canterbury to Concord to Tilton and back again on Saturday 4/14. Here was when we see this clean, strong sounding UP inspired painted SW1500, awoken from it's winter hibernation, for the first official run to Concord. Also attached is the ballast car that guarded the north end of the Merrimack River Bridge, and had been there since 12/17/17.
Here was NEGS 2555 and the ugly ballast car, by the Concord Center just ahead of the Pan Am switch. They went south, past the Water Street Bridge to pick up their two clay slurry cars for 3M in Tilton, and brought back two empties to Concord.
As 3M remains their only regular client, they still provide nothing but "NEGS-cellent" Customer Service !
