Photo of New England Southern 2.0 in Canterbury Yard
New England Southern 2.0 in Canterbury Yard

Yes, this is New England Southern's World HQ & Transload Yard in Canterbury NH, and yes that is Pan Am's B&M 330, and yes the fog was very dense which did not create an optical illusion.

New England Southern's shiny yellow SW1500 has gone through the shops of new NEGS owner, Vermont Railway in Burlington VT. NEGS 2555 has been off its' home rails since mid-August. Business still has to be conducted, so whatever arrangements that have been made between VTR/NEGS and Pan Am, the result you see was the 5th time in 2020, NEGS 2.0 made use of Pan Am power.

B&M 330 was set off in Concord by the NA-2 Crew on Thursday morning 12/10. The NEGS Crew went north to Tilton with the 330 very late Thursday evening to swap out an empty tank car with a loaded one. The 330 was left in Tilton until Sunday morning, 12/13 when the NEGS Crew went south to Concord with the two empties. The 330 and empties will go south with Pan Am once the Nashua Crews arrive in Concord this week to take it.

This was the fifth such occurrence of borrowed Pan Am power going north of Concord on New England Southern's rails. 354 (twice), 310, 313, and 330 now have a footnote of very unique movements over "These NH Rails".
