FI-1 326 in ConcordNo fooling here, on Thursday 3/30, this was the Fitchburg Local Crew that took the Nashua local north from Manchester to Concord. This spot in Concord, is just south of the White Mountain Branch switch, and the beginning of the true "Northern" line, of which the active portion is only about 2500 feet long, though the abandoned tracks are still in place to the Concord Boscawen line.
With the southbound passing (runaround) track in Manchester out of service, the FI-1 Crew took north loads and 20 Merrimack and Manchester empties including these empty UP barley hoppers from Anheuser-Busch in Merrimack.
When empties are shoved up this far, this means multiple runarounds for the Crew, in this case this was the second of four trips through the small runaround track in Concord.
B&M 326 is the only remaining B&M tagged locomotive in service on the former Pan Am system. B&M 330, the other remaining loco has been out of service in Waterville for sometime now. B&M marked, yes, but 326's roots are Penn Central & Conrail.
