MEC 3402 Leads POWA at Monmouth

A late running POWA with an always welcomed Pan Am painted SD40-2 slowly rolls through the small center of Monmouth, Maine crossing Rt. 132.

For a while the 3400's were pretty consistently seen on POWA and WAPO about 2-3 years ago but in recent months they had vanished to the west end of the system between East Deerfield and New York as they are equipped with I-ETMS which is needed for the stretch of the B&M that runs along CP rails.

MEC 3402 started its life as Quebec, North Shore and Labrador SD40-2 #254, later going to NREX, GMTX and finally became Pan Am owned.

MEC 3402 - MEC 305 - MEC 514 and 65 cars.
