Neat shot ... I like the gondola in the background. Was it on the lead to the coal trestle? It was -i think- out of frame to the left.

The tracks: Lewis' Wye (on left) and the main. It was double track at Medfield Jct in the 1930's, and single tracked before WWII. There's no forgotten steel or rust currently on the concrete between the tracks.. Through girder bridges carry curved track, was the straight section to join curves in opposite directions on the wye? Seems more likely than leaving space for a station track, and it's own bridge, on a route then devoid of passenger traffic.
