Doors Open On The Right

A four-car Boston Elevated train stops at Green Street Station high above Washington Street on its way to Forest Hills. These cars were built by Pressed Steel in 1917 and lasted until 1958. Bringing up the rear is car #0304. It must be a warm day with ozone laced "air conditioning" provided by open end doors and open upper sashes.

Photographed by Unknown photographer from negative collection of R DeFilippo, 1941.
Added to the photo archive by Ron DeFilippo, October 27, 2019.
