The Road of Personalized Services

Illinois Terminal box car as seen in a Guilford manifest rolling through Ayer in the mid 80s. ITC started life as an electric interurban and survived and thrived because of its freight connections and got folded int the Norfolk and Western, and ultimately the Norfolk Southern. NS has an IT heritage unit that has rolled into Ayer recently.

Photographed by Ron DeFilippo, 1985.
Added to the photo archive by Ron DeFilippo, October 24, 2019.
