Maine Central RR Ticket for Ellsworth, Maine Another Ebay Discovery. I'm proud to say I rode the last running of the Bar Harbor Express, or so I was told at the time. We lived in Bucksport. We to Ellsworth where my father & I boarded the train around noon. My mother took the car and met us in Bangor. Upon arrival in Bangor my father continued on to Chicago via rail. I remember being taken up thru the baggage car and seeing a maroon Geep thru the baggage car door window. I've got a 1958 time table that lists no passenger service to Ellsworth so it had to be prior to that. I was born in '52 so I must have been 5 or so at the time. /DL Unknown photographer.
