Photo of Barre & Chelsea Engine House
Barre & Chelsea Engine House

According to a local historian we spoke with, there still resides a Barre & Chester engine in this structurally-updated engine house. Tracks are still in good condition and this could be used, providing the line gets repaired and Rock of Ages chooses to ship more granite via rail. This is located west of the Barre, VT station.
