South Royalton, VT -1961

I took this photo of the RPO my father worked on at a station stop at South Royalton, VT in August 1961. It is a New Haven RPO Baggage combine. RPO crews worked every other week and we were in Vermont on vacation. This train ran from Washington, DC to Montreal and he worked the Springfield-Montreal section. I was 13 and this is my first railroad photo.

Photographed by Elliott Hoffman, August, 1961.
Added to the photo archive by Elliott Hoffman, February 10, 2002.
Railroad: Central Vermont.
