Here you see new Ballast that runs from the Augusta Sanitary District to just before the Memorial bridge on the West side of Augusta, Me. I was told that Safe Handling Rail will be using this new line to carry frieght this year. Since I took this picture there has been new wooden ties put in piles near the Ballast. On the right of the Ballast is the new Rail Trail that runs from Hallowell to Augusta. More pictures to come soon. 35mm burned onto Cd.
